Microsoft quietly changed how folder backup works in the OneDrive app on Windows 11. Now, the OS enables it by default during the initial setup without asking the user for permission.

Microsoft promises changes to Recall after security concerns.
Windows Recall takes a screenshot every five seconds. Cybersecurity researchers say the system is simple to abuse—and one ethical hacker has already built a tool to show how easy it really is.
Many users use an e-mail trick to avoid creating a Microsoft account. This has now apparently been stopped by Microsoft.
Recall uses AI features "to take images of your active screen every few seconds."

Microsoft says the April 2024 Windows security updates break VPN connections on Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows Server systems.
Windows 11 24H2 lets you create TAR and 7Z archives without third-party apps. However, you don't have to wait for version 24H2 to get that feature. Microsoft will soon bring it to 22H2 and 23H2.
