Thanks for the answer! Unfortunately, it says that my device is unsupported... Perhaps it's only available in the desktop version?
For the small tabs, you may try to enable custom stylesheet (userChrome), there are plenty of themes on the web, but if you're looking for something more specific you may edit it yourself, it's very easy. Oh and the default start page is pretty ugly I agree, there are plenty of alternative start pages on the add-on store For the data collection, firefox forks like librewolf should have that disabled by default (I don't have any experience tho)

here's some starting point found on the web:
it came out way worse than I thought lol
What may this cause to a casual fedora user?
Hello! I'm trying to realize some CSS customizations for some websites (Lemmy, Whatsapp, Startpage) in the style of the breeze theme (dark). I'd like to make it more universal by considering the accent color. and now my question... how do I obtain all the nice colors derived from the accent color, like for instance the highlight color of Dolphin files? there are many different shades of the accent color, but I don't know how to obtain it programmatically from css
sorry if it's a stuipid question but I'm taking the first steps in the CSS language.
thanks in advance!

Hello! I have changed a few websites appearance with the userContent.css, but I'd like this to only apply to normal browsing, and not to private browsing. the UserChrome instead I'd like to be applied for both normal and private browsing. Is this possible? searching the web didn't give me any useful result... thanks in advance!
some people enjoys it, some people doesn't. from wikipedia:
Spamming is the use of messaging systems to send multiple unsolicited messages (spam) to large numbers of recipients for the purpose of commercial advertising, for the purpose of non-commercial proselytizing, for any prohibited purpose (especially the fraudulent purpose of phishing), or simply repeatedly sending the same message to the same user.
the keyword is unsolicited: you don't want it? just don't add it to your communities. you want it? add it to your community. it doesn't bother you at all if it's unsolicited.
so you are able to not subscribe to it or even block it if you want
because most bots are spam doesn't mean that all bots are spam. unrequested invasive bots are definitely spam, but bots that can be enabled or disabled freely do nothing wrong IMO
I absolutely agree, that's why I made it togglable by anyone who likes
perhaps with tutorials, bot requests, techincal help request, announcements of new bots etc?
a bot to detect haikus in posts and comments. Contribute to tubbadu/lemmy-haiku-bot development by creating an account on GitHub.
Hello fellow Lemmings! the first version of the haiku-bot is out! anyone can add or remove it in any community by simply mentioning him and asking to subscribe:
!Haiku-bot SUBSCRIBE
when added to a community, it will read every comment (not posts currently) and if he detects the 5-7-5 syllable pattern typical of haikus will reply formatting it in a nice way!
If it becomes too spammy you can remove it by just commenting:
!haiku-bot UNSUBSCRIBE
currently it can be subscribed and unsubscribed by anyone, but if this will result in a problem please let me know and I'll allow only mods to do this! any problem, bug, suggestion, insult, anything you wish is welcome!
hope you'll enjoy it!
Hello! I was wondering, since KDE connect allows to syncronize the clipboard, where potentially there can be passwords or similar, is it secure?
