  • It didn’t require confirmation for me either except the next time I tried to login it asks for the code, then ran into the error in my original post. Not quite sure how it’s supposed to work

  • On Mac & iPhone, I found a setting for default security code that I was able to set to Authy, and only after that it opens the link in Authy. Previously it was just opening password manager and asking me which login I want to associate the security code too.

+1 on making it easier to set up (QR code or string input) that's more aligned to usual 2FA setup.

    Problem setting up 2FA

Could be related to https://lemmy.ml/post/1919017 but I followed the instructions, and after setting it up I still couldn't login.

    What I did:

    1. Login to lemmy.ml on mobile browser
    2. Go to my settings and check 2FA, tap Save
    3. Tap on the button link, automatically opens Authy
    4. On desktop browser, I tried logging in
    5. Copy/paste code from Authy
    6. Get 400 error on login (invalid totp token)

Luckily I was still signed in on mobile so I was able to remove 2FA from my account. Am I missing something from setting up 2FA?
