And Bluesky still had to asymptotically approach a tolerable degree of moderation and — eventually, despite the CEO and several devs being followers of the test case offender — ban the Nazis.

  • Pocketbook also makes great devices, not that well known outside of EU but their software has more features than Kobo and is (as of yet) not in the book selling market so no conflict of interest (and no analytics, contrary to kobo).

  • Depends on where you live. But rest assured: we'll all have PFAS in our clits and plastic in our dicks by the time we go into the casket. There is no place on earth where PFAS aren't raining down from the skies.

  • How you all prevent Password/OTP/TOTP deadlocks?
  • Export your OTP database to an (optionally) encrypted file on a USB stick and put that in a lockbox/somewhere safe. If encrypting the stick/file: make sure you use a memorized/written down password.

  • It has had quite a bit of downtime/undercapacity issues but for me it's has been working fine the last year at least.

    I think some work was being done on rewriting the backend to make it more efficient but I don't know the exact state of that currently.
