Is it time for me to get a whole new pc, or is there anything I can salvage from this one?
  • SSD for sure. Even on devices less powerful the general desktop experience is superior on ssd than a more powerful PC. Boot time and programs load up so much faster making the OS feel way snapier instead of a constant wait for even a browser to load.

  • Ubisoft comes crawlin' back to Steam
  • When I used it the launcher would constantly forget my login. And then for older games like Splinter Cell it asked for a login everytime I launched the game. It was ridiculous.

  • Playstation Plus is just TOO expensive.
  • I owned a Sony console up to the PS4 and the last one I played online on was the PS3, since I refused to pay for multiplayer. If games stayed in your library without requiring a subscription it would seem like deal at least. I wish Sony users had shown more backlash against it, but Xbox pushing for an online only console at the time understandably got more criticism and press. So it just quietly got accepted without resistance.

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a Russian game by Saber Interactive. Should gamers care if they care about Ukraine?
  • State of Fifa and NBA games is depressing. Even the annual release for roster updates wasn't something I liked, but it being full on freemium casino at annual full price is why I stopped getting sports games years ago. Left too bad a taste to get ripped off like that.

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a Russian game by Saber Interactive. Should gamers care if they care about Ukraine?
  • I think it's better to just admit someone doesn't care and they want to consume than trying to creating some moral loopholes for why it is excusable for a product they really want.

It's like piracy. Some try so hard to morally justify it. Others just admit I want it for free. In the end we just want to consume. I sure do. I want my product.

  • If someone is conflicted then best is to wait for a steep sale, bundle, or giveaway so it's a decreased cut. Either way it's a win win for the wallet and I don't most people have trouble finding time to finish games and a backlog that keeps growing than having no games to play.

  • God of War Ragnarok Steam reviews are ‘mixed’ right now, as players criticize the PC version due to account linking, just like Helldivers 2.
  • What do you think I meant by people won't refrain from buying. People not buying products they weren't going to buy anyways isn't a boycott. Do you trust the gaming community to actually not buy something they want?

People are misunderstanding that boycotts won't work in this case means a boycott isn't going to happen.

  • Honestly I appreciate them buying it and expressing the disappointment in Steam reviews. It is the best way to get attention to it since people aren't going to refrain from buying it. Boycotts don't work so people expressing their thoughts is the best we got.

  • God of War Ragnarök - PC Launch Trailer
  • I hope some mods come out that allows it to be skippable for single player games. I wonder what this means for the future of Playstation games on GOG, since Sony had been releasing games there.

  • issue with getting to Android@lemmy.world and Android@lemdro.id from lemmy.ca account

Instead of going to the Android community it goes to /c/all when I try to visit while logged into lemmy.ca. I tried logging out and back in to see if that would solve it.
