You forgot our queer mates, there's surprisingly a lot more communities about this than I expected
I switched a few weeks ago, it was because my computer is slower than a toaster and windows was tanking it down even more I installed xubuntu, well I must say it's ok, after I finished setting stuff up I realised I should've just gone for debian with xfce (I tried to install kubuntu-deskop on my xubuntu installation just to try how would kde run on my pc, it ran as well as windows did, but was just a tiny tiny bit faster, the way I installed it was probably bad and it could've been the way I installed it tho)
And yeah, I definitely love tinkering with stuff so this wasthe obvious choice
Yeah, but developers probably already know what is Linux, either from them learning about it at school or just by other developers
But developers probably already know something about their os, they don't just use what they get on a computer or a laptop, most of us probably messed with some deep settings of whatever system we use, i. e. something that a regular user won't do
Yeah, I just wanted to say that if anyone says "this distro is a bit older but it's really stable and good for use" it's scaring away people without them even needing it updated since they're used to getting told by Microsoft that "you have to to update to the newest"
The point about updating apps is also useless to them, as long as it works they will use it, my dad used windows xp with office 2003 until 2021 when the computer finally died, I told him countless times to update to a newer os but he refused every single time
I know, why would I use a slovak website when I know the czech one exists (but yeah you had no way to tell if I knew, thanks for telling me either way)
Yet they scream when their 6 months old un-updated windows install wants then to update
Oh damn I have to look better then (thanks for the tip, haven't looked there) (yes you might've guessed I also come from the cz/sk area)
It also kinda fits, I have met more people that know nothing about things like this than those who know
Damn, I wish people stupid as this would live in Europe since every time it's someone in the us finding deals like this
I'm surprised that the guy that goes by with something like "Marxism fennekism" with the fennekin pokemon their profile picture isn't here already too
Edit: like just now I saw him again, he's like in 1/4 posts on my feed
Let's just get inspired by oats jenkins and his idea for redoing the traffic system and add a truck license, and you'll have to renew it every six months, just so they don't keep it forever
The license would be given to people that have genuine need for a vehicle like this, and don't have access to one (so if your job gives you a truck you can have it, it would have the job license on it, but then you cannot have your own license)
Otherwise they would just tell you to go fuck yourself because you don't need a truck like this
Sounds like a security nightmare but it could work in certain cases (like just yesterday I was sharing a google drive link, I probably don't want that to be archived)
Yup happened to me, I tried half life since it was free and absolutely loved it, yes and that's why I bought the complete pack (around 8 games iirc) for the 6€ (around 6.5$), and it was an absolute steal imo
From murder drones, search it up on YouTube
I personally found it on a Minecraft subreddit (for some weird reason)
Edit: I had a typo
For some fucking reason I read that in the voice of Cyn, I watched that damn show a single time >!( Okay I might've lied)!< and it's stuck in my head
Every android phone oobe (at least the cheap ones) say to create or log in to a google account (idk if you can even skip this part) and inputting your name and letting it add a few numbers after it (not even mentioning her writing the password to a calendar, like a physical paper one, in the living room) is stupidly easy
I can't wait until more manufacturers adopt this standard and then force us to help every damn person in the family (or even more!) transfer stuff to a new phone, like my mom doesn't even understand how Google accounts work and that they exist to >!steal your data cough cough!< help you transfer stuff to a new phone, she just makes a new one every time, and yes she does everything by hand, transfering photos, contacts, every damn thing
And best thing that everyone has a different upgrade standards, so you could deal with this the newest phone that has this launches or you could too 8 years in the future
Yeah, my understanding is that the side depends on context but also eye movement, like with the "check that out" you can move/roll your eyes to the side you're pointing to to signal that, while the "come over here" is a quick move to the side you're pointing and moving back to the center
You can also count mouth movement too but that depends on the person, some faces are rock solid and don't move unless they talk and some are doing all kinds of facial expressions
Ngl that's pretty smart to keep one on a keychain, better than keeping it in the original box
Czech Republic is at 2.53%
This is the birthplace of Red Hat Linux for god's sake
Distro - xubuntu Dock - Plank Theme - fluent-round-Dark Icons - Papirus-dark
I also have ulauncher installed but it closed every time I tried to screenshot
This is all, I'm a beginner, laugh if you want, the theme doesn't work with some apps like KDE connect but it's alright I guess
