  • Assuming you're serious- it's a graphic design website that is commonly used (In the game/app industry at least) for designing user interfaces, icons, and other such on-screen interfaces. It has handy tools that let you 'make an app' in design only, but you can still navigate it with their buttons as if it were a real app (Prototype mode, I believe).

  • I delete probably half of all posts/responses I start (across many accounts). Sometimes it's because I realise the answer to my question while typing it but more often than not it's because I realise what I'm saying is ambiguous/opinionated and I get too anxious about someone taking it the totally wrong way and getting offended or annoyed.

Annoyingly this gets in the way of a lot of my online communication. Either that or I realise no one cares what my opinion is... Unless they directly ask- thanks OP!

  • Perhaps that is to do with the meaning we ascribe the images it generates, rather than anything about the images themselves?

For example, if your dog just died then you don't care about who assembled the pixels to make a loving memorial poster, you just care that that group of pixels means a lot to you. It can have soul if you give it soul and meaning, in my opinion.

Imo it's similar to how artists often find a lot more meaning in their own artwork than other people do- dedicating time to produce something lets you put some of your own soul into it, even if that is only 30 minutes to generate then touch up.

  • You could likely set it up to work "offline" so you can still play your steam games. If you were to set the steam client to offline (Assumedly through the Mac top bar 'Steam > Offline Mode') it should never need an update or contact with servers to keep working. That said, I don't know if there is a limit on how long you can have a computer connected to a specific account while never connecting to Valve's servers.

  • Probably an unpopular opinion, but- The ending of Starfield.

Edit: I guess Boost's spoiler tags dont work? This is pretty spoiler heavy, so avert your eyes if you don't want Starfield spoilers! If anyone can suggest how to fix the spoiler tags it'd be much appreciated.

    Ending/story description:

Why it made me cry (Includes some spoilers, but trying to avoid explicit descriptions of story events):

Post-ending enjoyment (mechanics and different perspectives):

TL;DR: It loosely ties story and mechanics such that I got really invested in the mechanics. When the story hit me hard, it also gave a massive mechanical impact that was particularly impactful given my play style. Those combined were overwhelming and made me sad, but also gave me a better appreciation for how some systems were designed to support the story, rather than oppose or ignore it. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

Oh, and Presentable Liberty. You can see the ending coming, but it makes you so dependent on someone then takes them away from you right before you can show your gratitude. It's concentrated dependence and a great short game.
