  • I was about to reply with 'i guess you will end up using spreadsheets', until this comment loaded.

I'm actually working on software to do this, with metrics, but it's far from ready for primetime. So this is not helping (only myself to see that there is interest 😏).

  • I'm not sure how they compare between each other (Gabi and Hario), but I don't really see much difference from manually pooring. Basically going the immersion route makes your water touch the coffee longer. That might extract more fats and make it less healthy, and in my opinion not a better taste (I don't like other immersion products either). Taste is personal of course.

It might give you a slight improvement in comfort, but at what cost.

  • It's fine with me ☕ 💪

  • Like most commenters, I throw them with the filters on the compost pile. But recently I had a dog in the neighborhood pulling out plants in my front garden, and shitting in it. Spreading some of the coffee grounds seemed very effective against that too. I guess the dog doesn't like the smell. So it;'s a win-win because the plants profit from it directly too :D

  • Milk might be a good option, it's creaminess also adds to the seasonal flavor ofcourse

  • Don't sneeze! 🫢

  • When is the best moment to add the spice. Do you stir it in after making the coffee?

  • Hey, for now we're golden. But I'll keep this in mind 👌

  • Looks uneven indeed, but the most important thing is that it tasted good. Maybe you can continuously stir it next time? A roaster basically stirs continuously

  • Like most other replies, it really depends on your usage and taste. I personally prefer a Moka pot over an aeropress. But I also like my Hario V60 for filter coffee, so the aeropress iszcloser to that. Hence the choice for a Moka pot is clear, it's a bit more of a difference.

So weigh your options as what you already have and like.

  • Easy solvable. Develop in strict mode with all notices enabled. Should be the default for any developer.

  • Depends on where you're located, but most coffee stores and cooking stores sell them here (if one doesn't have them, the next one will).

I'm able to get brown paper based ones that fit made by Melitta in some supermarkets too. But they are harder too find.

  • That would be too obvious. 😂. I wonder, how light is your roast? You mention them being a light roast, and extracting at a lower temperature. Maybe the original taste was even lighter than what you have currently?

  • It's pretty ok. I find it to be a nice continuation of the series.

  • Might be due to the language settings, can you see if it works better now?

  • I have this on the post you linked too, but also on some, but not all, comments from other servers. The workaround described here doesn't seem to work for everything for me.

  • Yeah that's right, if you need to brew a few batches and keep it warm then it's awesome. But for just a large cup, I can do the manual labour 😂. I love them all, and every piece of hardware in there serves a purpose

  • I love it, for larger batches it's really useful. Moccamasterwis great to, and wins it designwise.

  • Do share pics when ready 👌

  • We have a store in the Netherlands that's called xenos. If you use the search on their website (xenos.nl), for the word 'wandrek' you will get their sizes and options
