It won't. Higher midrange redmi phones do not support sdcard. I too am in the same boat for phones. Getting a good flagship grade phone with a good processor, updates support and sdcard support is tough. Samsung comes close but misses the mark by some.

Usually, the reason my phone restarts is due to using virtual RAM and having the phone under memory pressure.
