The fediverse is the perfect example of how social media should be implemented following Sir Tim Berners-Lee's vision when creating the WWW. That's why this feels like pre-2010 internet!
Nice! Any recommendations on waterproofing gear/shoes when riding serious rainfall?
Nike actually makes a running shoe which used a carbon reinforced sole IIRC which is supposed to make you use a bit less energy when running. So I'll put in my vote for no, you won't be faster barefoot.
You mean you don't rent your toothbrushes?!
Yeah ofcourse I understand, I'm all for letting people know the danger of what they are doing though. And how they probably shouldn't be trusting convenience over safety. I wouldn't know how to distribute it properly to be clear. Maybe an open-source pipeline compiling them on-the-fly, but Google would probably have some issues with that lmao
Anyway, I recently decompiled an APK where I found some routines grabbing the final piece of code from their webserver to be evaluated and ran in said app. "But it's just an anti-piracy measure and to see how many people use the app" Meanwhile leaving a skyscaper sized backdoor, or potential internal abuse.
I don't really appreciate the 'trust me bro' vibe of this post. Virustotal links are useless when injecting custom build malware.
Just to be clear, I'm sure you're posting this with the best intentions, but there is no way I would ever install an apk from a random mediafire link, nor should anyone else.
It doesn't justify it IMO, but the features are not the point. It's about supporting the development for a (currently) smaller userbase.
It's not $99 for the app though, it's $20 for sync ad-free, which is reasonable for a crazy polished app like this one. The $99 gets you a tiny bit more functionality they provide extra based around a subscription model because recurring revenue makes sure you always have the funds to further your project. I don't necessarily agree with this sentiment, but I also don't need any of those extra features.
Also, sync is just the beginning. Many more apps will follow. If they still think that price is reasonable, then so be it. But $20 is very fair IMO.
I found it enormous fun, great overtakes, great midfield, Max beating his teammate by 15 sec, lots of struggles on tyres, Hamilton taking the fastest lap on fresh mediums, Max sending it from miles away on Leclerc, slight change of pace with the rain but overall small effect, except for Max almost spinning on Eau Rouge.
Not the best Spa edition ever, but as an attendee of the 2021 edition, certainly not the worst
Honestly very interesting grid, wouldn't immediately say Max will 100% win this one as well. Depending on how wide everyone is at the start and how incident free it is as well. Although the raw speed of that redbull might prove me wrong.
