  • Don't they have a bunch of security issues gone untouched for over a decade now?

  • Distro hopping from time to time. So enough to be familiar with the process...

  • Cause then you could self host email without worrying about the complicated side of it. Since you have no need to send emails.

  • What if is like to receive emails? I don't really send emails at all lol

  • Having to spend souch time tweaking it on a fresy install. Annoying af. I still use it cuz nothing else meets all my needs.

  • Shows their priorities by not choosing an open platform.

  • For sure a lot of advantages to not having all your eggs in one basket.

  • Privacy usually doesn't mean following what's popular.

  • Just did the transition off Proton! Most replacement self hosted in my homelab except for email.

  • Just switched and couldn't be happier. Now I can use FairMail as a client and loving all the extra features.

    I used a custom but generic sounding domain name which made the switch pretty seamless.
