Is it a bad sign if a brand new hard drive makes a lot of noise but otherwise functions fine?

  • These bigger easytore drives are just loud. I have multiple 14 and 18tb drives. All make strange loud noises. I was so used to the noise the 14tbs make that I was in shock how quite the 20tb red pro is. That thing is dead quite just sitting on a desk with no case around it.
