  • YES! Maybe I should read it again for nostalgia's sake. I can't imagine it's very long since little me got through it. I think it was my first modern sci-fi book which was a very different vibe from things like John Carter of Mars

  • Man I forgot about Colfer. He wrote some one-off sci-fi book I read as a sheltered kid and it blew my mind. Cant remember what it was called but it had something to do with energy-based creatures that you could only see if you had nearly died. It was kind of a cyberpunk-lite novel for kids

  • I just finished "The Shadow of the Torturer" by Gene Wolfe, first book in the "The Book of the New Sun" series. Very interesting book, excited for the rest of the series. Not the easiest read though
