There's a specific part in all that which was supposed to be linked: https://www.halifaxexaminer.ca/morning-file/male-rage-is-a-sign-of-weakness-not-strength/#V2
If a GUI can be built which accomplished something in 1-2 clicks, then there's very likely a CLI which can do the same with 1-2 commands, as CLIs are easier to implement than GUIs...
Oh yeah, I wasn't trying to say that Luanti had an incredibly original thought with volumetric lighting. There's been (pre-resource-pack) volumetric lighting mods for Minecraft probably already a decade ago. I was rather just wondering, when the proof of concept has existed for a whole decade, why do they decide to include it now. It probably would have worked well even on weaker phones three years ago already...
Huh, half a year after Luanti introduced volumetric lighting. I find it hard to believe that Microsoft execs watch out for what Luanti does, but maybe a whole bunch of Android re-packagings of Luanti suddenly looked a whole lot better than Minecraft and that got through to those execs...? It's a bit of a strange coincidence, at least.
Yeah, always felt like that this kind of myth is rather indicative of the intelligence of whoever actually believes it. Alas, most people probably don't think about whether it actually makes sense...
It's typically because the big social media sites will soft-censor your post, if it contains words that advertisers don't enjoy being displayed next to. Soft-censor, as in the algorithm will mysteriously not show your post to a whole lot of people. So, it's also hard to say, whether some advertising company genuinely thinks "wicked" is a double-plus ungood word, or if the social media operator blocked it out of caution, or if the person who shared this screenshot on another platform just censored it, because they couldn't be sure that it wouldn't get them soft-censored.
You'd typically want Kate rather than KWrite, if you're gonna do development. Basically the same editor, but with more power-user features.
Well, vegan foods with lots of proteins include: Beans, lentils, peas, nuts, peanuts, tofu, soy.
Personal favorites are red lentils (cook pretty quickly and don't need to be soaked before) and pre-cooked white beans (I just have a jar of those in the fridge and will scoop a spoonful into all kinds of meals).
Proteins are cool, because they stick around in your stomach for a while, but they're bad at filling you up. For that, salads and veggies are the best. Sometimes, I'll eat an entire bowl of salad, which is not a lot of calories, but still fills me up.
I would also recommend slowly changing your diet over. Your gut microbiota need time to adjust to a different diet. If you don't give them that time, they can kill your will pretty effectively.
I was seriously doubting myself, if "wanked smart" is something people say. Truly incredible censoring, if it makes you think of a much ruder word.
Well, I'm still alive after they patched me back together in the hospital.
Alright, honestly, it really wasn't too bad. I had oatmeal with dried banana slices and sunflower seeds (yes, that was all the cereal I had at home, well, except for some raisins which I didn't dare combine this way).
The orange juice tasted more sour than I expected, which is good in my book. I had expected it to taste somewhat like cereal with water, which is vile, and it does not taste like that at all. I am now wondering, if I can make a cereal / fruit salad hybrid by throwing more fruit into there.
On a serious note, I'm currently challenging myself to eliminate plastic from my diet and milk is one of the things that's impossible to buy without plastic over here, for whatever stupid reason. Even the most eco-branded oat milk still comes wrapped in plastic garbage.
And yeah, given the alternatives of coconut milk (in a tin can), oat milk powder and water, orange juice is actually looking pretty damn good right now.
Well, I've got cereal at home and bought some orange juice yesterday and it's roundabout breakfast time, so... wish me luck.
Yeah, that post tried maybe a little too hard to portray high score games as always losing. You win, if you get a better score than before or whatever score you're happy with. Of course, this requires setting challenges for yourself on which to grow, so it could only ever have come from turbo-capitalist 'Merica ...or something.
Well, I was hoping my comment would be ridiculous enough to make it clear that it's in jest, but apparently not. 🫠
I mean, I do strongly prefer a gameplay loop you can (want to) play forever over story-driven games, but I am very much aware that this is a personal preference.
I mean, what even is the point of winning a game? Ah yes, now I get to click through half an hour of dialogue and cutscenes, so that I can then not play the game anymore, because I've 'completed' it. Really, completing a game sounds like a scam invented by Big Game to sell more games. Like, oh yeah, we've made our game so fucking boring that players want it to be over with, so they can buy another of our boring ass games and play that to completion instead.
Well, it was more of a rant, I wasn't exactly asking for suggestions. But you making a suggestion was perfectly fine anyways. I do just have opinions on proprietary Android apps.
I mean, thanks for the suggestion, but it doesn't seem to be open-source, so that's a hell no from me...
Also wirklich fantastische Geste, ich will das in keiner Weise schmälern.
