I believe the steam version lacks any IAPs.
That’s a fair a good point!
I’ve switch between iOS and Android, but good news on one of those you can set your default browser now on iOS.
Glad I’m not the only one. I was reading the article and then the Mastodon thread and thought I was crazy for feeling like Lori was at least just as bad.
My original plan was the 7600 non X but they seem to be about the same as the 7600x with a thermal assassin. Unless I’m just failing to find the better deal.
Awesome! That certainly seems like the one to go with in my price range. Cheers!
Have been looking at building a rig since I got my launch Steam Deck and things seem to have come together at the right time to build something nice. I’ll be looking at beefier PSUs. Thanks!
Oh good catch! Picking a case has been tough for me, just so many interesting options.
Thanks! I’ll check the sizes to be sure on the GPU and case.
Appreciate the comments. Good call on slickdeals for the monitor. I’ll look at PSU options with higher wattage. I think the cooler should be sufficient, I’ve seen mention of people using it with the CPU, but like the PSU could be a point of future proofing.
Check out Orion! Firefox and Chrime add on support.
Edit: Also like Vivaldi. If you want device wide I can highly recommend NextDNS

Looking to build something to target 1440p, would prefer to stay AM5 for future upgrades. Have gone micro ATX because of space constraints. Only really tied to the CPU/GPU combo, so if I’ve missed the mark on case, mobo, etc I’m open to suggestions. My big question is picking a suitable 1440p monitor, would like to keep it under $250 and not sure which direction to go.
Appreciate thoughts and advice in advance.
Sounds interesting. Brains not braining well on a Saturday what’s an AS? Associate Degree?
I think that’s an idea that I might have to seriously consider. I loved building out my own, and it’s an area I have some general expertise in. Thanks!
I’ve been on both sides and to this day am still a technical escalation point for some products even as a director. I’ll take a look at both that you suggested though. I kind of have a love/hate with project managers so not sure I could look myself in the mirror for that one. :)
I appreciate you sharing thoughts and ideas.
Appreciate the additional details, that gives me some place to start with additional research.
Probably not far from what you ran into. I’m 12 years into it and just losing my mind. I have an absolutely amazing boss and teams and managers under me that I mostly adore, but it’s just taking a toll mentally it seems.
Not sure if it’s the endless MVP products that never get touched again, the broken releases or just the bottom falling out of the tech industry but I’m just spent and have been so for a while.
How was your transition to infrastructure management? Did you have previous experience in that?
Mid-30’s working for a tech company as middle level leadership for the support department and need to find something new. Trades are certainly a consideration, especially having a family member or two that have gone down that path.
Honestly if heights aren’t an issue could be a great job.
I thought it was the opposite with them?
What careers don’t get enough credit for being fulfilling, acceptable pay and a good work life balance?
I’m using a dedicated PC running Ubuntu and using CasaOS manage the applications I need. I’ve been able to get Nicotine+ and other clients installed without issue but curious if folks have a setup that has just Soulseek going through a VPN? I don’t think I want 100% of my servers traffic going though the VPN (namely Plex), and would like to have Soulseek on this box so all my music stays in one place making it easier to share. Open it alternatives here.
I guess the broader question might be, how are people using a VPN with Soulseek, while also sharing files from locally hosted source? I could put Soulseek on another machine with a VPN but then it wouldn’t be able to see the local only shared folders.
