You're more than welcome, glad it helped. Stay positive, friend! đ
You are 100% correct, negative news has a greater impact on people than positive: https://assets.csom.umn.edu/assets/71516.pdf
Media sites know this, and use it to drive engagement:

And so, negative headlines are getting worse: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0276367
But negative news is addictive and psychologically damaging: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/why-we-worry/202009/the-psychological-impact-negative-news
So it's important to try and stay positive:

Yes, I'm having the problems with sh.itjust.works instance. I've moved to Lemmy.world whilst this issue is ongoing just so I can actually use Lemmy.
And I guess I should try out another client to see if I experience the same problems there
Are you on mobile? If so I tried turning off my WiFi and just using data and it seemed to help, which is even weirder.
I'm a little confused by your Signal comment though. Is there a Lemmy client with that name?
No, sorry, I meant Sync. Amended.
The government will argue that it is administratively unworkable to come up with specific measures to clean up individual rivers, lakes and streams as is required by law under the Water Framework Directive.
Under the water framework directive, the EU-derived regulations designed to drive a clean-up of rivers, which is part of British law, all waterbodies should achieve good ecological status or potential for good ecological status by 2027.
What the absolute fuck.
I'm having the same issues with sh.itjust.works. Also on Boost, also having the same Time Out issues. Can't even access comments. I even tried posting to this thread using my sh.itjust.works profile and it just failed to work. If I switch to another profile like the one I'm using atm everything works OK. I also tried Signal Sync, same issues, so it doesn't appear to be app related.
Its really weird.
To be honest, yes I do. It's been less than a year and already Labour has 'failed'. At least give them time. I'm not saying they're going to fix everything, but they'll be a damn sight better than the Tories.
Is the same with 'Woke', it's just become shorthand for 'anything I don't like'.
I mean, have you encountered these Real Gamers⢠before? They go out of their way to be enraged at this stuff. It's all deliberate.
For a few days now if I use my sh.itjust.works profile comments are slow to load and often posts timeout and refuse to load at all. I even tried posting this question using my sh.itjust.works profile and it wouldn't post at all. Is there something up with their servers or something?
Good stuff!

As others have said charity shops are definitely a good choice. Here's two websites that list ethical/environmentally councious clothing companies if you do want to shop brand new:

You can contribute funding to Greenpeace legal defence here:
Maybe tell that to the government who spent billions on a rail line that doesn't even deliver on what it was designed for. In the mean time thousands of acres of irreplaceable countryside has been destroyed, including internationally protected wildlife sites, ancient woodlands and legally protected sites of special scientific interest. The only people prospering from this white elephant are the Tory party and HS2.
Jesus Christ, people can celebrate some good news without frantic doomerisms it seems...
It'd be great if posts like this could include a) the location, b) when it was taken and c) who the photographer was.
I have a S10 and I use Bixby routines to turn the 'Protect battery' feature on over night, which limits the battery charge to 85%. I have it set to turn off about an hour before I wake up so that it's fully charged in the morning.
