Voting For: [Community Challenge 67] Recreate a movie/series scene
You'd think it was easy to come up with something, but I really hit a block on this one for a while.
Original Prompt: historical photograph, two japanese soldiers wearing samurai armor with roman design, walking down the street of an old japanese town, a red banner with a yellow eagle is hanging from a wall, taken on a Canon EOS R5 F1.2 ISO100 35MM --v 7
And the image I generated for character reference:
First thing that popped into my mind as well.
It was ridiculous how fast it could go through those 6 batteries.
Eventually my parents got sick of having to buy them and I was only allowed to play using a power adapter.
I tend to just leave them out all together. Don’t know why though, maybe it’s faster?
It feels a bit like when you read a book fast and skip over entire words.
“Need to do some cleaning.”
“How could this be done faster?”
Or a common one:
“Hungry” :)
That's strange, because when I look at the scores I get this:
Name | Score |

Could it be that your instance is missing some votes?
Anyway, it's up to @cloudless@feddit.uk to choose the winner.

It was just a basic guideline being taught to me back then. And I guess it’s mainly for cruising speeds. You might want to stick with a lower gear for accelerating. There are of course all kinds of exceptions. And NL is basically flat, so I don’t know about hills :)
But the km/h list gives me something to fall back on when in doubt. Driving is stressful enough for me as it is.
I took my driving lessons with a manual, but have been driving automatic for over a decade now.
Whenever I do need to drive a manual, I usually need a while to get used to it again. At those moments I make use of the guidelines that were taught to me by my driving instructor:
- Is for getting the car going and getting in or out of a parking spot.
- Is for speeds up to 25 km/h
- Is for speeds up to 45 km/h
- Is for speeds up to 75 km/h
- Is for anything beyond
It’s a simple helper that matches most of the common speed zones in the Netherlands (30, 50, 80). From what I can quickly read, the 80 zone is 90 in Romania, so it should still work?
Anyway, don’t worry too much. It is also nice not having to drive at all if it comes down to that, your boyfriend’s family sounds nice :)
Enjoy your trip!
It's a generic term for an online ID system, not a standard. The system differs per country, but it basically allows you to login and identify yourself with government institutions.
Apparently the EU accepts several of these systems as valid proof of identification, making it easy to submit a verified signature for petitions.
It literally took me only a couple of minutes to do so using eID.
So for anyone who hasn’t done so yet, please spare a moment of your time and support this if you’re able.
Not too late to make a difference!
I just signed it myself.
And….. signed!
Here are the final scores:

Looks like we have a three-way tie! It's up to @Pencilnoob@lemmy.world to decide on a winner.
Aw, leave him alone.
He looks healthy-ish. Still has all his teeth.
