i steal your formatted post, to post it again. I want visibility for this.
You think its awesome. Play on this.
Ideology often, isnt an argument for them. Restrain, boycott, minimalism, theses are not in their vocabulary I guess.
They want the cool stuff. They are consumers to act like that.
Example: Regarding /r/piracy, you can say original creators moved on Lemmy. Not why. And now /c/piracy is the "place to be" to have last news, features etc and /r/piracy decline very fast in quality. And there is nothing to learn anymore on it.
But just to say, dude, have faith. You brave to want convince them. Force and honor on you. But don't break your mind ^^
Regarding me, I've struggled a lot to make some of my contacts move on signal. Even they knew I just have that, Wasn't enough. Then I've just said, I just have signal, its enough for me not because of ideology but because I don't see the interest in others apps because I can have groups chat, video chat, instant messaging with it. In great quality. And the application do not DRAIN my battery's cells (never had them but I'm sure they do. Analytics baby) . That's helped a lot more to help them move 😂
Ans its not Microsoft behind. Protocol is friendly. Good suggest
That's what i think
Why there is always someone to
Create an discord communities although we are on an community.
Let me explain , I'm on an "/c/A", which is new. Which desire to grow up. And suddenly you have a thing, strange thing, coming and posting an discord link about the " /c/A". Like wtf, what u will post on this discord can be post on the root's /c/ and be discussed about there. The creation of this discord is to help the community to grow they say. In which way ? That can help if u post the link on other communities whoses are blocking specifically lemmy's link. In other case I don't see.
To mention, we have MP too on Lemmy. Lemmy is open . Lemmy don't use you as a product by default. Why this need to have an discord community. Its just ego of the creator or something else ?
Sometimes, u can even see on an discord, an sub discord created with just a little variable changed.

Paradoxal regarding Lemmy.ml is the founder's instance 😁🫠

-Battlebit isn't an option BC of their choices of faceit over eac. -Control's mode on apex isn't really the same. Like reddit, I don't like ea so I don't want to give them my money, and I want to play online ^^ -I've tried shatterline but I have not good feelings with this one and its not the same even its nice.

Desktop Linux Hardening - Secure ur linux installation
Linux is not a secure desktop operating system. However, there are steps you can take to harden it, reduce its attack surface, and improve its privacy.
Before we start…
Some of the sections will include mentions of unofficial builds of packages like linux‑hardened, akmod, hardened_malloc, and so on. These are not endorsements — they are merely to show that you have options to easily obtain and update these packages. Using unofficial builds of packages means adding more parties to trust, and you have to evaluate whether it is worth doing so for the potential privacy/security benefits or not.
Most of these changes have also been incorporated into the Steam Deck.
