Well "on a budget" is doing some heavy lifting here for sure... I scooped the plate carrier as NOS for around $300, pretty much everything else I paid retail for. Belt was around $180, rifle with all stuff was probably around $1000, pistol was another $600 since it came with the optic. I carried 6 total AR mags and 4 total pistol mags (CZ mags are the worst, about $35 each), and around 200 rounds of rifle and 150 rounds of pistol ammo. I'm probably still about $3-4K deep in kit here all told. The match itself was only $20 to enter at least!

So I guess I'd be applying some adhesive loop side velcro to the receiver to make that work then? That makes a bit more sense than it just flopping around at least. Thanks for the insight!
