  • Well, yeah.

Recaptcha has always been "here's image recognition stuff, pls help for free" and hasn't exactly been secretive about that.

Have people just forgotten that already?

  • Is that... Chain link fence?

  • An extremely outspoken instance filled with people who simp for fascist dictatorships but ultimately consider themselves communist and some socialists.

Most would call them "tankies" due to their willful denial of the 198(9) Tiananmen square massacre as "western propaganda" despite non-western sources agreeing it happened outside of China.

Imagine if super outspoken trump supporters had an instance and spent a lot of time trying to lecture other people about how they're wrong when nobody spoke to them in the first place, then when presented with facts and logic they would respond with gifs, emojis, and a lot of claims that you're a CIA front/shill.

  • As an American midwesterner, I support the effort to buy California, and will be making my way to the state border to finally move to a better country.

  • I know a few book collectors.

My personal favorite is a middle aged guy who buys hardback of mostly science fiction and fantasy books, in large bulk boxes.

If he's already got it, he gives it away. If not, new shelf filler.

He has a cabinet out in front of his house that he puts books in with a sign that says "Free books, please take one" and occasionally other people will leave one or two inside it.

And if he knows anyone that's interested in specific types of books, he offers up any extras to them first. All around pretty chill dude. Reads maybe one book a year.

The other ones I know are just collectors of old books from previous centuries, and don't even open them.

Collectors are weird to me. Why collect something you never plan on using? Stamps are one thing, but books?

  • If you're giving your printers arms and fingers, that's on you.

  • No joke, I started listing some things off as a proposed law to my in-laws one day, and both my wife's parents and her sister's husband thought it sounded like good ideas.

Right up until I informed them "congratulations, you support sharia law on the united states! You can't argue that you don't, because you were just praising it for how it represents good Christian values."

It's 100% because it wasn't invented by Christians. Or rather I guess, Christians mostly dropped its equivalents over the last few centuries.

  • I use shit bags for my dogs on walks, they're quite useful.

    ICE on the other hand...

  • If ICE starts coming for leftists who are critical of them, they'll be dealing with a lot of second Ammendment rights.

Come at me, nazi fucks. Dealing with them is a bit of a family tradition. It just skipped a generation.

  • Yes, I am.

Everyone involved in ICE can remove their sidearm, place it firmly against their temples, and squeeze.

I wouldn't piss on them to set out a fire.

  • Do you keep a gun next to your printer in case it makes a noise you don't recognize?

That's the mark of a true cs student/programmer/software engineer

The hardware guys have it easy.

  • There is no movie in Ba Sing Se

    Here we are safe

    Here we are free

  • Why does Sony always feel like you could replace anything they say with "You should consider yourself lucky we allow you to play our games."

  • Oh look, another reminder that I need to get more spare parts for the things I have, just in case I lose access to them for some "unknown" reason.

Thanks for reminding me, I'm going to the store!

  • Old people and overreacting to normal things because new ideas are scary and confusing

    Name a more iconic duo

  • There's plenty in improvised weaponry that can maim or kill you if not done properly,

the only way to find out is from people beforehand passing on knowledge, firsthand experience, or being really good at brainstorming.

You'd probably figure it out before you went to throw, unfortunately if you're rushed (like in active combat areas) you don't always have the luxury of time to figure things out.
