Soylent billionaires: food for the rich.
As someone who has moved several free pianos and now tells people I will drive it but loading and unloading is on them....
They all sound like complete shit.
The piano is free, making it sound good isn't.
But then, most people just have a piano for decoration.
TERRIFYING PRECISION and ARCHITECTURAL GENIUS of checks notes
...
double-checks notes
"Knowing how shadows and windows work"
Man, the bar is unrealistically high for some people...
As someone who never planned on playing Balatro, and was kind of getting tired of seeing it on my feed the way I got tired of helldivers 2 stuff right after release.
I would happily toss a tenner to the dev for a lawyer over this.
.... Dodging?
Is that some kind of move weaklings make when they can't take a hit?
This comment brought to you by The Tank Gang (heavily backed up by Supports)
There's several of us in Ohio, what if we toss Mike dewine and his ilk to Kentucky?
but provides no evidence of wrongdoing
So surely it will be rejected and nobody being sued will even need to show up since nobody even has any evidence?
Surely....
Especially annoying for people with astigmathism
Good point. I get annoyed with the little lines on my windshield caused by the wipers in rain that make lights stretch a bit (idk how to better explain that), I can't imagine how terrible it must be for people with astigmatism
I read it more as "saying this will contribute to" rather than "proof of"
must’ve read David vs. Goliath and sided with the Goliath.
Bold of you to assume that they can read, or that they have read the Bible.
In my experience not even "devout Christians" do that last one.
I just drove to Michigan and back, saw maybe 5 vehicles, including a semi covered in lights.
One just had a single dollar store strand around the hood, one had followed all the panel lines on the car, and the others were just wrapped a couple times over the top and underside.
None were flashing or twinkling, just steady lights.
As long as they don't flash or move while driving, honestly I don't think a couple strands would be that distracting except maybe a double-take
I can see how this many lights would be distracting for some. I would definitely look more than twice, if I had space around me.
Still though I think I'd just ask them to leave most of the lights off while actually on the move at most.
Don’t care how they got it.
Unethically, probably illegally.
Disabilities
Well that took a sharp turn...
saw war as a thrilling, life-or-death, adventure.
That just sounds like psychopath-lite...
Oh man, I missed bullpupping memes...
Part 1 is the first act
Oh my god I just now got what my sister meant by "the act break is super long" and why my mother replied "lol" in the family group chat.
Same.
I listened to the original Broadway cast so many times I was concerned I wouldn't like a "cover" of it. After my sister said she liked it, and listening to a song and not finding it objectionable, I had even considered watching it.
This is the first I've heard of it being a two parter, so they hid it well. I'm surprised my sister didn't say anything
Not a chance in hell I'm watching it until part two comes out in physical media so I can watch them both in one go. I hate breaking up the flow, even for a few hours while I wait for the next screening...
if the characters behave too unnatural
My wife doesn't get this.
I can't stand watching some movies because every part of the movie is just one character doing something unnatural or outright insane that nobody would ever do, and the people around them react in similarly unnatural and insane ways.
And certain old movies (especially holiday oriented ones) that lean heavily into the "everyone here is a bumbling idiot" trope crank this up to 11.
If you enjoy said things, awesome. Good for you. Keep watching them, it literally does not affect me. I'm genuinely glad you have entertainment. I just won't watch it with you.
Five) is a good one. Like "oh shit.... I fucked this one up too much, I guess I'll see how it turns out but I'm gonna start over with a new batch"
I'd love to see someone more creative with writing than me do some writing prompts with that premise. Maybe have someone from this universe ascend or something and actually confronts god as they're spending time with their new family creation.
六> is also a good one, it reminds me of the idea that every single person is God. And when all of humanity has finally lived and died, god will become a single consciousness and join the rest of their kind. It kind of pairs poetically with Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot.
