  • Zuckerberg surfs every morning right before he indulges in his complicated work algorithms, reports the New York Post. Now obviously being an IT giant comes with a casket full of responsibilities

Dressing up as a thicc Geosha Surfer every morning helps Zuck deal with his daily casket of problems.

  • Facebook has always been evil. Buying its rivals and renaming itself Meta only increased the spread of its evil.

Using their poison hurts your mental health. Allowing Facebook access to your personal life exposes you and your loved ones to their manipulation. The sooner everyone walks away, the better.

  • Anti-GenAI users have plenty of platforms to share their views. Derailing discussions and brigading in other communities serves no purpose but to foster an adversarial relationship between communities.

I generally don’t like making a rule banning a viewpoint, but I don’t see what positive contribution that viewpoint adds in this specific context, especially when asserted so aggressively and off-topic.

  • Low energy honesty vs. bigliest due process president ever who gives all the due process unlike [nickname] [rival] who does no due process whatsoever.

He really has lost several steps.

  • Changing CEOs to right the ship is what real companies do, and it can be effective. Tesla is a meme stock. It’s a hype machine designed to overpromise and underdeliver. Tesla is made of smoke and mirrors built around once-promising tech that was subverted for the interests of the VC parasite class.

Even if the board actually makes a move on Musk, they’re going to replace him with another money guy who cuts actual tech to pump up sales and marketing and drives more investing dollars into the black hole.

Granted, the next guy would almost certainly be better for the company than musk, given his mountain of bad press. But if Tesla actually wanted to make a real move, appoint an actual Tesla to run the company instead of another Edison.

  • Davies was contacted by seven men over seven days who had all been scammed or catfished by seven different fake accounts that were using her images. She wrote an Instagram post to warn others and a BBC journalist got in touch, leading to her first documentary When Nudes Are Stolen. This was life-changing. “It was the first time that I had sat down with campaigners and experts who laid all those images out and said that what happened to me wasn’t OK,” she says. “No one had ever said that before. No one had ever said: ‘It wasn’t your fault.’ It was such a moment for me. It lifted the weight off my shoulders.”

Good Lord, that’s depressing. When people take advantage of you, it’s not your fault. What is this world doing to people?

  • Then listen intently to other views and ask questions to learn more. Somehow the relentless need to be right about everything all the time drowned out inquisitiveness and honest dialogue.

  • Big Antichrist energy. Maybe he’ll declare himself pope and cause a schism.

Start seizing all assets of the Catholic Church in the US. Knock out all the stained glass windows of Jesus and Mary and saints, and replace them with Trump portraits with a golden halo. Throw out the crucifixes and install golden statues of Trump. Altars made of plated gold.

I wonder what attendance would be like at the Church of Trump.

  • It’s almost like Jews might have a problem with establishing a precedent that you can just start rounding up people with zero due process and put them in camps to die.

Call it “antisemitism” all you like. The white suprematists supporting all of this won’t be making exceptions if they stay in power.

  • The threats of various US invasions being 100% senile blustering, coupled with an economic crisis and/or loss of freedom in the US to the point that people would need to flee the country rapidly, isn’t that far-fetched.

  • I really thought that 51st state of the US push at the end there would save conservatives. Everyone knows how badly Canadians want to lose their independence, culture, healthcare, etc.

Seriously though, the next government should probably start planning for the refugee camps it’ll need on the southern border in the coming years. Or maybe build a wall.

  • The stock market getting wiped out and it being harder to find a job is one thing. Groceries being unaffordable for half the country and getting more expensive by the day is entirely another thing.

Boomers watching their retirement go away as stocks crater is kinda sad, I guess. Not being able to find a job always sucks. But people on a mass scale not being able to afford food and basic housing is a crisis the US hasn’t seen since the Great Depression.

It’s getting worse every day, and there is no answer, no long- or even mid-term plan, and no one in actual power is even attempting to help. Democrats do nothing, and Republicans make it worse, while the Trump/Musk administration is Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

  • Between the genocide in Gaza and what’s coming for the West Bank, Palestine might not exist in the next few years. Survivors scattered to the winds.

It’s incredibly sad, but honestly foreseeable. The right wing shift in the west is killing what little sympathy and press coverage there was.
