Running a lemmy instance is a lot easier than running a bank though. There may also already be an instance that is close enough for you and you could run a community there.
I have been using a Kelly kettle a lot lately, usually dump a bunch of wood shavings or dried leaves in the base and then sticks above that in the chimney.
Just play different games. Sure the kids may have fast reflexes but they don't have the wisdom to commit the number of warcrimes that an older gamer can in Rimworld.
Pretty much finished all the content except the most recent update. Probably 1000+ hours, certainly 100s in it. Didn't struggle too much but I have played it back since before seasons and food spoilage was in the game and I played a lot of TFC modded MC before I found VS which some of the mechanics are quite heavily inspired by.
Recently tried playing as a nomad for a bit, kept on the same save but dropped all my stuff and reset my character and went hunter class. Then went on a 100km expedition down through the warmer biomes and grabbed a bunch of seeds, like soybean and rice that can be a bit harder to get in the more temperate biomes. Took those back home with me.
My partner teaches 7 year olds and a few years back they would try and recreate squid game at lunchtime.
