  • Just looked it up because I do watch, but clearly not on the same level as others. I had no idea who the original was and from the screenshot I saw i doubt I would have even noticed if I did. They look similar enough to me. I can't see why people would have a problem with any of this, I got better things to worry about.

  • Sounds like they should have picked another novel to work from... it's always amazing when people think they can somehow create something incredible from nothing. Almost every adaptation that has been worth it has come from source material, and we have plenty of examples of what happens when they either run out of that or try to deviate from it. Now I am sure there's a few that have succeeded, but I am drawing a blank on what, and it's also very rare.

  • I don't go much these days sadly, but when I was the big ones were Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn Steel, Baby's Alright, Union Hall, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and The Bell House. Some of them i have been to a lot and some only a few times, but I enjoyed all of them.

Edit: for reference, my peak time period for music going was 2008-2012. I also don't live in NY, so it is always a small trek but worth it if you love music as much as I did. I still go, but I'm definitely a bit old now and maybe catch a few shows a year now if I am lucky.

  • I'm glad to see i wasn't the only one saddened to see Mad Max on the list with all those other terrible movies... It wasn't the best one of the series, but it wasn't bad either. I enjoyed it a lot, and the funny thing is I wanna say it's 1 of only 2 movies I saw in the theater last year. I did my part, lol.

  • "Outside of that the anomaly A- grades went to Five Nights at Freddies"

Seeing this makes me question it. My kid loved that movie so I've seen it a handful of times and it was better than I expected it to be, but still really bad. Getting a super rare A- shouldn't even be a question here. It could be a C tops.

  • I have had about 4 retail based jobs growing up before being able to get into something else. I was in-between jobs and in tech school when my father talked my uncle into letting me work for him. It was HVAC and the place we visited was sort of like a YMCA. Idk if it was just because I was thrown into it, but it was super scary and had a lot of work I did not care for. For example we had to go on top of the rafters above the pool and walk across the narrow vents while holding a pipe to get to one end to change stuff out. I was petrified being up there. Another part which I didn't think would be that bad was just climbing the ladder on the side of the building to get to the roof to check the units on top. I quickly realized that day I am not a fan of heights. I only went back a few times before saying nah I can't. I got another retail job until I finished school within the year and getting the job I still do today which is IT admin stuff.
