I mean I will readily accept that the internet is a fickle place and nothing is ever as black and white as it would seem but there has been a metric fucktonne of examples lately for why Teslas are just straight up bad cars. Cheap materials, poorly wired electronics, broken features, etc.
Like just casually scroll through any car subreddit or other online forum and you'll see people recording their Teslas just breaking down.
Saline is what you are supposed to wash your eyes out with when you get something in them in addition to being what contacts are stored in every night
At the end of the day this is all subjective so far be it from me to claim objectivity. That being said I don't think you could really classify a lot of that as "things to do"
Managing fleets is just about W keying in space until you see a frigate and buying a couple ships with high stats. But in my experience stats don't even really matter because the missions are almost always a success anyway. Speaking of fleet missions they are imo the most mobile game-y "come back in 26 hours" passive resource thing imaginable. No interactivity, just press a button and come back later.
Managing the village was fun for the first I'm gonna say 2 hours. Now it's just another passive resource that pays out every 24 hours and makes me do some combat every time I visit. That well is about 2 inches deep and produces just enough water for me to call it a feature.
Daily quests are very samey. A lot of fetch quests for miscellaneous doodads that basically boil down to "go to the same terrestrial bunker you've seen 100 times on 100 worlds, Kill some sentinels (or bugs), interact with console, Get some cryptic dialog, return to quest giver, receive dosh. Again, Kinda fun at first, gets boring as hell very quick.
Ship collecting is at least interesting in that the RNG and strategy mesh nicely. But without any way to customize your ship outside of just finding one that looks the way you want there's nothing more to do with them besides look at them. There's no real reason to have more than 1.
Listen I don't think the game is particularly bad. I'd even say it's an upper tier "podcast game", hell I have 100+ hours in it over like 3 years myself. But let's not kid ourselves and say it's a great game. It's a perfectly Passable time waster to keep your hands busy while you do something else like chat with friends or read an audiobook (see: "podcast game")

I've lived in NH and Mass my whole life. As far as I'm aware the states both guarantee 12 weeks of unpaid leave. Your work can opt to pay (at a reduced weekly income) but they can also tell you to pound sand. And seeing as how many people live off week to week paychecks...
I would argue lacking appropriate infrastructure to support a walking city is a cultural thing. Americans like their cars man.
I personally would love to see some more public transportation and walkable cities but I know enough "car guys" to confidently say that a substantial percentage of Americans prefer it like this. I think it's shifting away with each generation but we aren't anywhere near Europe yet
Okay?...I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. In America people generally don't do that.. Which is a cultural difference.. How is that wrong? Lol
I think most of the people here probably haven't. I myself have only been once.
The issue with this comparison is the cultural differences. Like in America that bottom image would be basically impossible to get in and out of on the way to work. Whereas Starbs or Dunkin is like a 5 minute pit stop tops
just to make one of the powers you get later seem more useful
I want moder power to be useful so fucking bad dude. Last time I played I tried living on a little island that I terraformed into a small fort that rises out of the water, my only way to come or go with ore was by boat and I STILL never used it.
Despite being in literally the most optimal use case for having it that power just feels so lack luster. It would be wayyyyy better if it was just like a passive effect that made RNG better or half cool down or something. As it is I'd rather just use bonemass or Deer since they are more universally applicable
Ditto and I will not hear alternatives
Hey hey hey Strangle Thorn Vale is fucking miserable dude, leveling there is basically asking to get ganked by some max level player farming world buffs. Easily as bad as the two part system
Abe-sama gives advice
To be fair "neoliberalim" is a really misleading name. It does basically just mean "proto-conservative" which can be really confusing if you don't already know what you're talking about
Money doesn't grow on trees.
Who wants to tell him
I mean if he actually got into med school then he must have some interest. Med school is hard as fuck to get into, you either have to be really fucking smart or super dedicated. So your brother clearly has something going for him.
Hell even if he failed out he still got in and that's impressive. Maybe cut the guy some slack?
I dont care how long it has been or how persistent you are. It's fucking Comcast Xfinity sounds like the subtitle to a terrible Sci-fi movie from the 80s
I feel like"lean" is a little too generous. They are aggressively right. 99% of their content is just mocking LGBT, leftists, or younger generation ideologies
It's possible I'm misremembering. I thought in their initial statement about his not losing protection while incarcerated they had mentioned that it would be impossible to protect him while he's in an open cell block but perhaps that was my dumb lizard brain saying the quiet part out loud. Either way I don't think they would just let that happen without significant uproar.
Idk maybe I can allow myself to feel an ounce of optimism. I do like the idea of something actually good happening for once lol
I mean, it's certainly possible that the government/wall street/etc have a bigger, better, and more powerful AI model but I wouldn't exactly call it likely.
AI as a technology is still in it's infancy in many ways, I highly doubt the government has some crazy new Sci Fi engine capable of much more than "the free version from a website". Faster computation and better data processing? maybe. But the limits of what is technologically possible are still limits even if your employer is 3 letters.
To each their own indeed. If you want see this as cause to celebrate who am I to rain on your parade, I truly hope you have the right of it.
I'm just exhausted from all of the "final nail in the coffin"s this guy has had. Ive gotten excited for some actual justice just to be disappointed 1 too many times I guess. Even now, any federal charges are gonna just get pardoned as the first act of the next republican president for some quick and easy brownie points amongst their base.
The only hope for lasting consequences is realistically Georgia and even ignoring that they are pretty deeply purple, the Secret Service has pretty explicitly said they will not allow Trump to go to prison.. Now I personally am of the belief that they can pound sand since they have no jurisdiction over this. However I do not get to make the call, and as stated above I have been let down too many times..
Maybe this is actually it and maybe I'm just too jaded and not seeing the big picture.. I just can't bring myself to be optimistic anymore man
This is where we start getting into the realm of philosophy as it relates to science fiction esq "true" Artificial Intelligence.
Taking the post at face value these AI persons that populate your individual pocket dimension would be, for all intents and purposes, sentient artificial minds, or at least controlled by 1 central mind.
So does that AI deserve human rights? Do laws apply to the and interaction had with them? If all they know is humanity then are they also "human"? Is this theoretically infinitely intelligent super computer even capable of truly understanding humanity, emotions, life in all of its facets?
I fully accept that I am getting too deep into this funny internet post but there have been hundreds upon thousands of books, thought experiments, and debates over this EXACT premise. Short answer is there is no answer. It's Schrodinger's morality lol
This is a very good stance to take on paper. But do you really think there will be any significant difference in Trump's campaigning regardless of outcome? The end result is completely meaningless in the grand scheme of the 2024 election, Trump supporters have already shown a dozen times over that there is literally nothing that could change their stance.
I just want to see him get the same treatment I would in his place.. He won't.. But I at least want him to sweat
