What’s the craziest or most outrageous (maybe even NSFW) incident that led to someone being fired from your workplace?
  • A guy on my team was absolutely convinced the external monitors he had were 1080p and not 1680*1050 resolution, and that everyone else using 1680*1050 were just wrong. He got into an argument with IT service desk over HDMI cables, which he wanted to prove himself correct (since everyone else were supposedly chumps for accepting the tyranny of having to use DVI cables for their monitors, thus forcing them to use the lower resolution). The argument escalated and well, he kind of just disappeared after that and never came back.

The IT service desk folks were already touchy about their HDMI cables since people were apparently stealing them for use in the meeting rooms.

Pity, I liked him but that was kind of unhinged. Besides, the monitors’ native res was definitely 1680*1050 lol.

  • Percy, when I get home
  • My tuxedo cat is very vocal yet hates climbing and would much rather dig around on the ground than jump and do parkour.. maybe he only got a couple of the Siamese genes hahaha

  • My Worst Nightmare
  • Yep 100%, it’s real shit, wouldn’t even joke about this happening tbh. I saw a horrible video a long time ago of.. ahem let’s just say a malfunctioning escalator in China. Horrifying.

  • What's the funniest weird thing your cat does?
  • Aww she’s incredibly cute!

haha searching for my little fella freaked me out the first time he decided to “go to bed”. Now I’m completely chill with the fact there may be faint snoring sounds coming from an otherwise inconspicuous blanket

  • What's the funniest weird thing your cat does?
  • He puts himself to bed! There’s a blanket on the lounge - he wraps himself up in it, and goes to sleep, for hours. If I can’t find him, I look for the breathing lump inside the lounge blanket. I used to think the depictions of Garfield wrapped in a blanket in his bed were just, well, comic book stuff, but no, some cats do this lol.

He also knocks on the door when he needs his toilet changed (we use litter tray liners), to let me know to do it. Yes milord. Work work.

Another one - he’s bad at climbing and has realised when he wants to get up somewhere high (to watch the world from above), he doesn’t actually have to climb up himself. He can just squeal and whimper if I’m in the room and I’ll lift him up there. Hahaha cute lazy bugger.

  • When was the last time you felt guilt about something, as in that emotional pit you noticeably feel in your stomach when you have done something wrong towards someone?
  • I apologise for being blunt (but maybe it will give you perspective) but if you’ve been with her for nearly 5 years and the rona times began in early 2020, have you been dealing with this for 4.5 years out of nearly 5 years? Almost the entire duration of the relationship?

  • The linked article says the artificial magnetosphere would encompass the entire planet and points out this includes two critical places where the most atmosphere is lost.

So yes by virtue of it encompassing the whole planet it does cover those two places.. I suppose they wanted to specifically mention them
