I should clarify and say that I think Lemmy very much wants to erase all conservative content from the fediverse. Which is totally against what the fediverse stands for.

I prefer people block them, rather than calling for them to be banned. Conservatives have just as much of a right to be here as liberals.

democrats seemed pretty cool with it too. Biden was in office for last 4 years, brah.

I have first hand knowledge. I was fed employee for 5 years. State employee for 15 years. Some people legit would be in the office for a meeting, then go home. This was pre-covid, so WFH wasn't a thing. And they def weren't working.

Where I was at, it was pretty much known that all of the people who had been there over 10 years just skated through after that.

It all allowed me to retire early, so I can't complain too much. But the fuck-offs I encountered there definitely have inspired my voting choices. Also, the fucking staff meetings were ridiculous. The literally had a meeting over everything rather than just email it.

I'm happy to see them purged.
