I am also using Fedora on my Surface Go 1. Decent experience so far, but I can't wait for the Gnome mobile patches to come in. It feels slightly clunky to use with just the touch screen.
My HP envy x360 AMD with Fedora here. Build quality is really good and the laptop has a nice design.
Looks great, I also looked at this a few years ago, but I wasn't skilled enough to do it myself.
They have moved their Gnome specific stuff in GTK to a library called libawaita. You can easily use GTK without much Gnome specific stuff.
Gnome is really nice, they really did a great job with Gnome 40 and the releases after that.
