There’s a danger that the US supreme court, not voters, picks the next president
  • This is why we need as many people as possible to vote early and or by mail! My state, Texas, doesn’t allow mail-in voting, but voting early takes so much less time and it’s harder for any sort of shenanigans since it is so many more days.

  • Autocorrect Rule
  • My wife’s is the same as yours. Surely it’s not all iPhones because of the diversity of responses here. Unless we three and my wife all the only Lemmings with iPhones…

  • Autocorrect Rule
  • Mine is the exact same! Weird

“ Women are not allowed in this world anymore because of their own personal preferences or the way their body and body is designed and made and made and they have no choice to make decisions for their bodies or bodies and their body”

  • You can feel how cathartic this must have been for someone
  • Drive thru. This is actually a common spelling in the US.

  • What ridiculous history fact is your favorite?
  • I find it fascinating that electricity is fast enough that this is a thing. You would never get this wrong with water, and if you did things wouldn’t work right, but electricity is basically instant.

  • A pair of male and female cardinals arguing about seeds 🥰
  • That makes me a little sad, but it’s good to know!

  • Which adaptation do you think has surpassed its source material in quality?
  • I’d rather the five released ASOIAF stay as they are, perpetually unfinished than anything close to the hatchet job that was the GoT show ever be released in book. For me, sometimes just finishing isn’t enough. The books > than the show 10,000 times.

  • In your country, what "common" animals are tourists most excited to see?
  • It is a fox with some long long legs! Neat!

  • 77% of Top Climate Scientists Think 2.5°C of Warming Is Coming—And They're Horrified
  • There is a problem of lag. By the time temperatures are high enough to force the economy to stop, the amount of CO2 will be sufficient to continue pushing the temperature up considerably.

  • US Senate approves $95bn aid for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan
  • If that’s the compromise it takes to get support where it is needed then so be it. The US has plenty to go around and Israel is going to do what they will do with or without our help.

World marathon record holder Kelvin Kiptum dies after car crash in Kenya

What a sad day for the world of running and the world in general! He had so much potential ahead of him. Holding the world record marathon and being only 24! I’d have loved to see what greatness he would have achieved. RIP

Biden Threatens to Veto Bill That Would Help Israel but Not Ukraine
  • Also Gaza is the size of basically just one neighborhood inside of Kiev alone. The scale of two the conflicts are so massively different. Many Americans I’ve discussed this with have no idea how much bigger Ukraine is.

  • New teaser for Netflix’s 3 Body Problem series will make you want to play the game
  • I mean there is already a Chinese adaptation

  • I remember this being a known thing with dolphins too, but maybe that’s just one of those things you learn as a kid and trust forever

  • In very rare move, Pope dismisses conservative US bishop Strickland
  • I think all you need to know about this guy is the Vatican asked him to resign a few days ago and he said no. You do not say to no to that sort of thing! He absolutely knew they would remove him and instead of going quietly he said no to make it a big thing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him running for office, or starting his own break off sect of “true Catholics” soon. Good riddance.

Would you prefer a route that is…?

Let’s say you have a loop route. In one direction it’s mostly gently, but consistently and perceptively, uphill with several big descents and in the other direction it’s mostly gently downhill with several big climbs. Which direction do you pick?

I tend to pick the generally downhill route. I’d rather get my climbs over quickly on steep hills than slog it out going slowly uphill over a long distance.

Shorts always ride up on one leg.

It’s hot again, which means it’s chafing season. One thing I’ve noticed is that my running shorts always ride up on my left leg, and only my left leg. Multiple pairs, different brands and styles, it doesn’t matter. I get much worse chaffing on that leg. I use Body Glide or Squirrel’s Nut Butter religiously and can manage it alright, but I’m wondering about why my shorts always ride up on just that one leg. Is that normal? Does that happen to you? Could it say something about my gait? Or maybe my thighs just aren’t even in size? Thanks

    Happy Father’s Day!

My wonderful wife and mother of my child got me flowers. It’s not exactly the most manly thing, but nobody has ever gotten me flower before, and it makes me feel so happy and appreciated! Hope everyone has a great one!
