Shipping Listing Suggests 24GB+ Intel Arc B580

Maybe even 32GB if they use newer ICs.

More explanation (and my source of the tip): https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/graphics-cards/shipping-document-suggests-that-a-24-gb-version-of-intels-arc-b580-graphics-card-could-be-heading-to-market-though-not-for-gaming/

Would be awesome if true, and if it's affordable. Screw Nvidia (and, inexplicably, AMD) for their VRAM gouging.

SSD price control by limiting supply

I heard a friend from my Chinese community that Samsung and Kioxia are reducing production of NAND chips to hike SSD price. Samsung and WD SSD in Amazon UK are quite sold out.

Can anyone confirm this?

Valve may be working on official Waydroid (Android app) support for Steam

Here's the Twitter thread discussing this

Basically, some different apps were linked to the official steamVR app. These apps are hidden, but the data miner was able to grab some assets from them that included some custom art for Waydroid, which is a Linux program that lets you run Android apps on Linux.

Additionally, I've seen comments saying that some valve devs have been making pull requests for the Waydroid github, but I don't actually have a proper source for that.

Microsoft Eyes AMD Zen 6, RDNA 5 for Next-Gen ‘Cloud Hybrid’ Xbox Console

Microsoft says it is currently debating using ARM64 or AMD Zen 6 architecture for the CPU. Note that the Xbox Series X uses a custom Zen 2 CPU, while Zen 4 is used in present-day laptops and desktops. Microsoft appears to be leaning towards an AMD Navi 5x (RDNA 5) GPU compared to RDNA 3 for the current-generation Radeon RX 7000 Series (and a custom RDNA 2 GPU for Xbox Series X).

However, we must take these leaked documents with a grain of salt. Nothing is set in stone, especially for hardware not scheduled to ship to customers for another five years. These are Microsoft's alleged aspirational goals for the future of Xbox, and plans can and likely will change.

Nintendo Switch 2 SOC May Be Produced on a 5nm Process Node; To Have Max Clock Speed Higher Than 2.5 GHz - Rumor

The Nintendo Switch 2 SOC may be produced on a 5nm process node and have a maximum clock speed of over 2.5 GHz, according to information unearthed today.

In a new video shared on YouTube, Doctre 81 detailed how, a few months back, they found the LinkedIn profile for a former Physical Design Engineer for Siliconist Technologies, who worked there from February 2020 to October 2022 on the T239 project for NVIDIA, which is said to be the Nintendo Switch 2 SOC.

Today, the YouTuber reported to have found another LinkedIn profile for another former Physical Design Engineer who worked at Siliconist Technologies during the same time as the other employee who actually put a more detailed summary of what they worked on during their time at the company, confirming it was an NVIDIA project without, however, mentioning any other specific. In this project summary, the former Siliconist Technologies employee mentions a 5nm process node and a maximum clock speed of 2.653 GHz, higher than the maximum
