Sky Dust trailer (a Brazilian version of Anno: Mutationem?)

I don't know anything about this game other than what's in the trailer, but it reminds me a lot of Anno: Mutationem with its 2.5D pixel art style and (what appears to be) "exploration" sections completely separate from the "combat" sections. Who knows, maybe this game will have random combat encounters while also exploring, but in Anno: Mutationem those two styles were almost two separate games. You would be locked in a 2d-plane during combat but had 3d movement when exploring.
Anyway, Anno: Mutationem was a Chinese-made game; this game is Brazilian-made and takes place in Sao Paulo. If that means anything to you.
Tombwater trailer (pixel-art Weird West video game)

I'm always surprised anytime I stumble upon a new Weird West video game and I just have to post it here. I know nothing about this game other than what's in the trailer, but apparently the developer is calling it a "Souls-Like Western". It reminds me more of the SNES Zelda game Link To The Past than a souls-like, but sure, whatever.
Enter the haunted town of Tombwater, where shadows roam and whispers echo from deep within the abandoned silver mines. Once a thriving community, now a cursed shell of what was, its people have been haunted by the darkness below. Play as a lone gunslinger, drawn to the eerie, decaying streets by the disappearance of Sheriff Elliott Flintwood—your only friend in a town lost to madness. To uncover the truth, you must face the terrors lurking in the cursed depths and confront what festers in the heart of Tombwater.
Gentlemen, it's with a great pleasure I inform you that Do Not Press The Button has hit 7000 wishlists

For context: I’ve been working on the game for almost 19 months now and for a very long time it had a low wishlist count. As I started updating the Steam page with new images and gifs and posting about it regularly the people who were interested in the game grew. Today I woke up to check on Steamworks and it turns out it’s 7000+ wishlist! (It was around 300 for the first YEAR of development).
But here is the thing, I’m not one of those guys who quits their job to pursue gamedev. You see posts like these all the time, I’m not even sure if most of them are even real, but I feel that is a HUGE risk. One I’m not willing to take, as I can’t afford to go two years without pay. A safer thing to do is to do gamedev on the side. But the amount of work you have to do is pretty much like having a second job. I think that if you treat it as
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition gets updated, needs a fix on Steam Deck
Rockstar Games decided to update the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition which includes Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto III but it seems you'll need this quick fix to run it now on Steam Deck.
Various players have been reporting a "Fatal error" being encountered when trying to play any of them. However, there's two workarounds I know of to get around it. What's interesting is that this might be specific to the Steam Deck OLED, as it's to do with HDR not working. So you can try this launch option first:
DXVK_HDR=0 %command%
To do this. Go into the game in your Steam Library, over to the little cog icon on the right for the Properties, and put that in the Launch Options box.
Another potential workaround is to force DirectX 12 for it:
%command% -dx12
Graveyard Gunslingers (roguelikes are so hot right now)
Shoot hordes of zombies in a bullet hell roguelite arena. By day, harvest resources, unlock map areas, and prepare for the upcoming night. Craft unique strategies by combining characters, weapons, and exploring a vast ability tree.
This game releases tomorrow but there's a demo you can play on steam right now. It's another top-down roguelike that we see everywhere these days.
It's got a pretty unique game mechanic where during the day you collect resources to unlock items and when the night comes you have to fight off a zombie horde and survive until sunrise. Simple enough gameplay loop, but it's a roguelike so I wasn't expecting it to be too complex. Anyway, there's a demo; give it a try.

Silent Hill 2 Hides FSR 3 and XeSS on Steam Deck Possibly Due to RAM Usage - Steam Deck HQ
It looks like Silent Hill 2 is hiding FSR 3 and XeSS on the Steam Deck, and it could be due to RAM usage.
You can re-enable these options by using the SteamDeck=0 %command%
launch option, but this might cause the deck to crash if it runs out of RAM/VRAM.
This crash shouldn't happen if you're on SteamOS Beta (version 3.6 or newer) because it uses ZRAM, or if you've increased your swap file size. However memory having to be moved between ZRAM/swap and RAM/VRAM does cause reduced performance too, so more testing will be needed to see if it's better to use FSR3/XeSS this way or not.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 - a Weird West FPS?

I want to start off by saying I haven't played this game. The trailer makes it look like a solid Weird Western though.
I remember watching the trailer for Hunt: Showdown but it looked like the entire game took place in a swamp so I wasn't interested. Since I wasn't paying attention, I'm not sure at what point Hunt: Showdown became Hunt: Showdown 1896 but I don't think they're separate games. As far as I can tell, Hunt: Showdown 1896 replaced Hunt: Showdown and is more of a Western now. But maybe someone else can explain the differences.
Unfortunately, it looks like I might be coming to this game a bit too late because right as I realized it was a Weird West game, it was in the middle of being review-bombed:
So this post isn't so much a recommendation as it is a request for more information. Have any of you played it? Is it good? Does that recent r
Sid Meier's Civilization 7 Specs Were Released And It Should Run on Steam Deck - Steam Deck HQ
The PC specs for Sid Meier's Civilization 7 were released, and it shows some promise for Steam Deck playability.
The also mentioned that it will support SteamOS specifically, which I would assume means that the Deck will be specifically supported.
Altarium - Official Launch Trailer (new Weird West FPS game)

This looks like your standard "gunslinger shooting demons in the Wild West" setting, but of course that's what I'm here for so I'm ok with it. Also, they called this the "launch" trailer but I'm pretty sure it's actually just a "reveal" trailer since the game isn't out yet. They claim it'll release in Q4 of this year though, so maybe it's close.
Official synopsis:
Altarium is a first-person, asymmetric PVP Co-Op horror game that can be played by 1-5 players together. Players can choose to play as either the victim or the evil character. Get ready, choose your role, shape your destiny, and survive!
God of War Ragnarök released and Steam Deck Verified
God of War Ragnarök from Santa Monica Studio, Jetpack Interactive and PlayStation Publishing LLC has released on PC today and Valve put it quickly through verification for Steam Deck.
SteamDeckHQ has also posted a first look, and praises how well the game runs.
The game unfortunately does require a PlayStation network account.
The game has the same PlayStation overlay that's incompatible with Linux, but when playing on Steam Deck the overlay is automatically disabled. Desktop Linux players will need to use the SteamDeck=1 %command%
launch option to disable the overlay.

Shadows of Doubt Adds New Steam Deck Preset and Better Font Sizes in Experimental Patch
Shadows of Doubt got a new experimental patch that adds a new Steam Deck preset, makes font sizes larger, and more!
Shadows of Doubt is amazing, but hasn't run very well on the deck. Inside areas run great, but travelling outside between buildings has had pretty severe fps drops even though the deck's hardware isn't being maxed out.
However this new experimental patch helps a lot. The deck power consumption jumps up a lot when outside, but the fps manages to mostly hold 30fps now which is a huge improvement. The recent patches have also brought a lot of controller support improvements, making it a viable way to play the game.
