Solution: I just needed to disable Firefox Color in about:addons.

I set a theme with Firefox Color, I tried changing the theme in settings to light or dark but neither work. I'm wondering if there are other ways to do so in Firefox that I could try. I'm on zen browser which is why it may not have worked.

I use the term "Reddit" when I search for things a lot so I can get human responses to my questions but Reddit blocks VPN connections. Old reddit works though. All you need to do is change www. to old. I know extensions exist for it but I don't really want to install one for this and I no longer have an account on Reddit to set it in my preferences.

Edit: I think @chagall@lemmy.world gave me what I was looking for with REDIRECTOR. It's open source and has a privacy policy of not using analytics. It's an extension but it seems pretty reputable with a decent community.

I updated and I was able to move the "bookmark items" onto the bar. It must have been a bug or I was not understanding the process. I'm pretty sure I tried what I did to fix it, but who cares, it's fixed.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, I'll delete if it isn't.

I have the settings to "always shown" and in the customize tool bar section to be shown. They also still show up under bookmarks and toolbar from the pulldown, but otherwise, the toolbar is blank. I have no idea why.

Hey there, I'm a long time firefox user and have never ever had any problems with firefox. But after the latest update, the browser will now just randomly freeze and it happens very often. It will freeze for over a minute at the time, making it impossible to use the browser. I've refreshed firefox as suggested on their websites, I've reinstalled but still all the same. Anyone got any suggestions to what I can try? Or anyone else experienced the same thing?

[SOLVED] replaced router (for another reason) and new model works fine somehow

Hey guys, my Firefox on Android cant open selfhosted services using DNS host names on home wifi.

I moved to a new place, got new router, configured server with new local IP. On PC everything works fine, but on Android Firefox I get "Address Not Found" when I try to open local hostname. Using IP:port works, but its been working fine before we moved. Chrome on Android works fine, desktop PC works fine.

Im running pihole and nginx proxy manager on server (I reconfigured pihole, but settings should be the same as before). I have set server IP in router DNS settings. I have set static IP for wifi network on phone and DNS address of server (I think I didnt need this before, but now it doesnt work in chrome without it). I have 2nd pihole on rpi4 as secondary DNS server on both router and phone settings, but its not in use yet. When I reconnect to wifi firefox can open the page for like first 20 sec and then it

Is it possible? I'd like my dates, time etc. to be displayed in the way I'm used to while keeping the browser in English. I've tried setting the LC_DATE environment variable as well, but it doesn't respect that.

1. go to about:config
2. set intl.regional_prefs.use_os_locales to true
3. restart firefox.

Is there a simple app that can transfer everything easily? Like my favorites, browsing history and everything, including autofill setting and whatnot? I really just don't want to redo everything and essentially start fresh.

Thank you everyone! I've used chrome for so long and the last time I tried fire fox over 13 years ago it didn't auto transfer anything, so I had no idea. And I will look into a 3rd party for password storage.

I'm not super savy with some things, so I don't really know what you mean by "self hosting" but I guess I'll look into that too.

I'm sure that it can be useful for a lot of people but for me magnifier's popup (on android) always getting in a way and makes text selection so much harder.

Is there any way to disable this feature, any entry in about:config for that, I'd like to turn it off browser wise?
