Oh, so did I when fees were reasonable. I used to use Gyft all the time to obtain Starbucks, groceries, etc. Now that is totally unthinkable. Bitcoin for that use case is dead.
Oh god i can imagine a sad corporate drone slogging away at their keyboard with a GPT4 tab open thinking they’re so smart for producing such a masterpiece
Although some quotes are valid, like this one
“ The risk of growing adoption is that new entrants aren’t aware of Bitcoin’s core principles: decentralization, self-custody, hard money, etc. If new entrants don’t learn, understand, and espouse these core beliefs, the features that make them reality may not remain in the protocols over time”
Which I kinda agree. i think crypto is a special place where technology doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Cryptocurrency provides people with currency, so it is inherently a place where technology is deeply intertwined with the community that use that currency. How people use the currency is as important as the technology itself, and as long as we stick to our core principles of untraceable cash we’ll be unstoppable. Of course there’s a place for degen moon trading but I can see that less in our community.
