I lost all respect for the guy when I realized he’s just another MLM shill. It’s gross, I know people who have lost significant amounts of money to these kind of scams. Pretty skeevy behaviour for an HGTV personality!

This “become a real estate investor” wankery fills me with so much rage. I don’t know who is more of a pox on society, influencers or these airbnb landlords driving up the price of rent and property values, increasing the need for affordable housing, feeding sprawl and development of green space and developers building in the green belt. I tried to have a convo with one once about how problematic airbnb was and the greed of them was so compulsive it was disgusting. It’s a sickness, really.
Also, this video is so MLM’y — Scotty is totally giving me Tom Cruise in Magnolia vibes in this clip. He’s looks like he’s about to sprout a greasy little pony tail.

Airbnb is contributing to genocide and also the gentrification of formerly unpopular areas SUCKS for people just trying to exist where they grew up. Not everybody has well-off family to fall back on. Gentrification erases the possibility for many non-White families to afford places that would otherwise be unaffordable.
