BG3 has surpassed Witcher 3 on mods downloaded and uploaded

And this is without the official modding kit released? Wow

How good is the average mod quality in this game?
- Well it's not like a Skyrim (obviously), but I mean that there isn't big changes in textures or content for example.
  There is some extremely useful mods though. I'm thinking quality of life stuff and appearance choices mostly. The latter was a bit buggy with the updates for me, but i think it got better now.
  I think the amount of downloads comes from how necessary these are to most fans, rather than the quantity and quality of big mods.
  (Although some small mods like hairstyle are quite high quality to be fair)
  P.S. One pretty big exception is 5e spells that do add a lot of much wanted content
  
  Could you elaborate on why most fans consider some mods necessary. Ive put over 300h into this game and did not feel like mods would have enriched the experience once

Aren't mods in BG3 closed alpha or something?

If you like Witcher 3, is BG for you?
- If you liked it for the story, bg3 definitively will not disappoint in that regard.
  The gameplay is pretty different though, less action, more strategic... It's not to everyone's taste, but still worth trying regardless i think.

- I would think so.

BG3 is a much better game than the Witcher 3.
Never really got into the Witcher 3, the combat is slow and there are like 5 spells that all are the same with a slightly different colour. And the amount of fanboys jerkin it to anything Project Red afterwards made me actively despise it.
- TW3 is less about the gameplay and more about the world, quests and storyline
