Quran burnings: How serious is the situation?

I've been living in Sweden for 15 years and I really can't understand why people care, look this guy didn't get enough attention in Denmark so he stopped. Just let them burn the book, it really doesn't matter. It's not like they burn people like the Christians did. Perhaps if some people would start burning the bible too then it would release tensions so it'd not just be about the muslims?
