More than 36,000 homes still without power in Quebec after Thursday's storms
Although Hydro-Québec reached its target on Friday of restoring power to more than 85 per cent of its customers affected by power cuts following the violent storms that swept across the province on Thursday afternoon, more than 36,000 homes were still without electricity on Saturday morning.

It was pretty intense, with actual tornadoes breaking off tree limbs on power lines.
Weird to read this headline from Quebec in the summer.
I'm surprised that Quebec isn't the role model for restoring power quickly after so many outages in the last 23 years.
Here, power went down around 17h and came back at 22h30. I have an UPS that kept my router for one hour. After that I didn’t have access to the internet (and any news from the world) because the cell network was overloaded.
Prolly can't read the English manuals to figure out how to turn it back on.
