Yeah the crashes and bugs have been the one thing that I noticed was wrong with the game, it gets mildly annoying crashing randomly because you did something random like change settings while in a match or just crashing after you finish a mission for no apparent reason... other bugs too have been annoying but game-breaking bugs usually aren't as frequent as crashes I think. The worst I've experienced was objectives that were already completed being marked on the map like they weren't completed.
I am, but none of my "crashes" have been graphics related. They've all been bugs that made the game unplayable until I restarted, for example:
The first match I ever tried to play, I got to the "select your abilities" screen and could not click/input anything. The game was clearly reacting to my mouse pointer, I could see other players choosing loadouts, but nothing worked. Took me a solid minute to figure out it was the game and not me before I just alt+F4'd out.
Joining a friend's match in progress, I chose my abilities, loaded in the drop pod, and it launched. After watching the drop animation for about 30 seconds, I spawned back in my ship. Tried to join again, same result. Repeat, until I quit and restarted.
Entering certain menus while the mission is loading has left me unable to enter into the drop pods.
There's plenty more like that, typically associated with the matchmaking process
Then there's the litany of minor bugs, like having to tap the reload key multiple times to trigger a reload, etc. The game is clearly not originally designed for M&K.
I haven't run into any matchmaking issues, but I wouldn't be surprised if the peer-to-peer netcode of the game is a bit fragile, hopefully it will improve.
I don't think I've ever had a gun fail to reload except based on in-game conditions such as being mid-dive, ragdolled, mid-weapon-swap etc. And plenty of times I've cancelled a reload by sprinting, swapping, diving or firing before it has finished without realizing.
I'm not sure how any part of the UI is controller specific. Kind of the opposite, I feel bad for console players having to deal with an inferior input device.
