How short-sighted do you have to be to think that, somehow, right now is leagues beyond any other period in history when the exploited masses fell back on propped-up luminaries with religious zeal? FFS. It's a tale as old as time. 🤦🏼‍♂️
- Didn't women go to see Elvis and just scream and cry their eyes out for the entire duration?
- Is venture a guess that a long-term study could prove that the Internet being more widely available makes this time in history more popular for cults. Easy communication with the masses to identify with and lure in at-risk people has certainly completely different than any other time in history, at least for casting a wide net to sucker in followers.
  
  You know that religion is a thing right? Virtually the entire human population worshiping long dead warlords (Mohammed, King David) cult leaders (Buddha, Krishna, Lao Tzu) and wholly fictional characters like Jesus.
