I'm happy to see the OG back. That one was my favorite!
12 0 ReplyI’ve used the web app so far, until this version with app icons was available on iOS so that I could set it to the OG ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2 0 ReplyThe new icon never bothered me enough to go that far. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have every confidence in the developer to add them and artists who love Voyager! This is easily the best Lemmy app! (In my personal opinion)
11 0 ReplyO.G. !!! Now I need to find a way to rename the app to wefwef 😏
12 1 ReplyYou can if you use the web app
2 0 ReplyTrue true…
3 0 ReplyActually, I still have my WefWef web app icon in a folder 😂 I forgot about it.

Wondering if this would be better positioned within the appearance settings...maybe??
6 0 ReplyIt’s more discoverable in the top level of settings, but I do see your point.
4 0 ReplyEverything would be more visible in the top level, until it isn’t, because everything is there.
3 0 ReplyI see your point too👍🏼

I also propose adding some entries that were submitted early on !wefwef@lemmy.world. Notably this entry: https://lemmy.world/post/1210044
4 0 ReplyMy favorite is psychedelic. It’s look strange and a bit creepy
4 0 ReplyYes, I'm excited to add icons as time goes on!
3 0 ReplyLove this new feature!!! And yeah, I would love to see the icon selection grow.
3 0 ReplyMines not working. It isn’t changing the icon.
3 0 ReplyThat’s an iOS bug that has been around for ages. You have to restart your phone
4 0 ReplyYou were right, but I have never encountered that bug before. Weird. Anyways, problem solved!

iOS or Android? And what version of Android?
1 0 Replyios 16.3.1. I’m gonna do a software update and see if that changes anything since I see there’s one available for iOS. Whats the weirdest is that when I search for the app on my phone, the correct icon shows up in the search results, but everywhere else it’s the old one.

I wholeheartedly agree!
3 0 ReplyWaiting for the Material You icon.

2 0 ReplyI’m running the iOS version from the App Store. It’s top level under settings.
2 0 ReplyWtf it’s in the App Store now? Weird, I can’t find it
Edit: Found it! Had to Google it though.

1 0 ReplyWeird, I can't actually find this setting... It's supposed to be top level too, but my app says I'm up to date?
My version is 1.10.1 if that helps with anything.
I love the little space guy, I would love to have that as my app icon! (Not that OG is bad either, they're all lovely options)
1 0 ReplyIt's native app only - the PWA doesn't have support for changing icons :)
3 0 ReplyIt should be possible to implement this for PWAs though. I.e. let the service worker respond with a custom manifest . it might just take some time until the browser picks up the change and updates the icon.
