Main positive for me (aside from Onana's excellent performance) is that we managed to grind out a win while playing utter shite, something that we haven't done very often over the last few years
Main negative for me is that we play utter shite after a decent transfer window with new joiners coming in relatively early (compared to last windows) and facing an opposition which should be in shambles (new manager 4 days ago, no relevant transfer activity). When the experts in the Swedish studio beforehand talked about how dull and uninspiring this Wolves squad looked, I just knew they would run all over United...
When the narrative is that Wolves is chaotic, they had no (relevant) transfer activity this summer, and their manager was appointed four days ago... you just know that they're going to go out and want it so much more than Man United.
Why does it keep happening with this club? Why is it so common to see them go out on a pitch against a lesser opponent and just... not seem to want it?
Well it's a better start than last season, was expecting more. Really don't like Rashford up top, just doesn't suit him, hopefully Rasmus will be available soon, as I think until we get him in the team, it's not going to be to dissimilar to last season.
This worries me though because 1. we can't expect Højlund to play 90 minutes every game and 2. we don't even know what level he'll be at. For all we know, he could be Weghorst but Danish
Up there with one of the worst performances I have seen. We were so so lucky to come away with anything here.
We need to wake up fast, any decent team would have had a field day today
