Basically yeah, with Saudis and Russia trading oil outside the dollar nobody is going to have to go through SWIFT to buy oil going forward.
I remember them getting invited to BRICS but i didn't get my hopes up since it was just an invitation. Now it is a reality, this is kind of a huge blow to US hegemony.

You mean USA. Europe doesn't know it yet, but this will be good for them as well. BRICS goal is to create a frictionless payment system instead of going through US banks and giving them a cut. Once governments start understanding this isn't some weird China/Russia hegemony thing, everyone is going to benefit. Except obviously the US who is trying to collect a toll.
