“If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill. No limit. Please let us know,” Musk wrote in a post made Saturday night.
Musk further pledged that such legal battles would be carried out on a significant scale and will target not only the companies but their boards of directors as well.
“And we won’t just sue, it will be extremely loud and we will go after the boards of directors of the companies too,” Musk wrote
I wonder if it'll apply to people who post outright racist things? Ecne if it doesn't, all the people who get to establish a general consensus that free speech on politics will be allowed will make a lot of room for such people.
I think "unfairly treated" depends on what it is you posted or said, and what your employer does. If an employer took action against someone for posting "Trump 2024!" or "Biden 2024" then that should be covered. If they posted kill all white people or kill all black people then I don't think this would be covered.
That's quite a commitment, I wonder how he intends to fund that? Are those kinds of legal battles slam dunks as long as you have the money to go to trial?
