Is there a way to install a linux OS on a 1st gen ipad?

like the title says, wipe and boot something else in there? Maybe Doom? Got curious while browsing the community

I have looked into this before and apparently it is not feasible. A friend of mine had an old first gen ipad mini and asked me to look into it.
Try jail breaking it, after that you should be able to unlock the bootloader through some hackery
- yeah will def try something with it
PostmarketOS have a wiki page for it. Looks like it's tethered only, and pretty limited.
