I'd imagine wikipedia editors would only have to jump a few people to dramatically cut down on repeat offenders.

Several pages used to have really good info useful for a lot of people, some power tripping neckbeards killed it and banned anyone who reverted.
Pro wrestling pages used to have useful info about wrestler's careers including their theme songs and move lists which were useful for modders, a mod removed all of that eventually.
