Google TV's advent calendar dishes out festive content suggestions

Google TV is getting into the festive spirit by offering an advent calendar with movie and Christmas special recommendations.

- i now have ads for volkswagen in the "movie suggestions" ad box that takes 90% of the home

  Get a custom launcher mate; I installed one the second my Shield started showing that bullshit a couple years ago.
- Dislike Apple if you want, but they make a decent set top box free of OS-level ads and crap

FYI you can install replacement launches that get rid of these ads
- I use Projectivy Launcher, works great for me and is very minimal.
