I've got a Dell G3 3579 that's in a dire need of a battery and a bottom panel replacement. I've thought of buying them off aliexpress, but I'm a bit skeptical of it... So ig my question is whether it's OK to buy stuff like replacement laptop batteries off aliexpress.
E: I've checked, amazon does not ship to my country... I'm also technically asking if anyone knows any trusted good replacement battery manufacturers that I should look for...
The thing is... the "OEM" Dell replacement batteries have a ridiculous price... they're like 2 or 3 times more expensive than 3rd party ones for a refurbished one...
There's a reason why they cost that much. If it costs 2x as much but lasts 5x as long then what's the better value?
I've never gotten a chinese knockoff battery that comes even close to the same endurance as an OEM battery. Even used ones will last longer on a charge and hold their capacity longer than knockoffs. Plus you don't run the risk of the batteries expanding and causing a fire.
Parts-people.com specializes in dell parts and even lets you put in your serial number to make sure you're getting compatible parts. I've used them at least a dozen times for work.
edit: meant in general, not just amazon, added other
Any site you go with, I would make sure to triple check labels, reviews, warranty of laptop and the one offered by website.
Maybe more expensive, but warranty for a year, Newegg/Amazon/other also has some, and the one you mentioned.
Random search brought up Newegg:

I've thought of using Amazon, but it's not really a thing in my country, I don't even know if they ship here, furthermore I've never shopped on Amazon before, so I have no idea how it works...
(I just checked, Amazon does not deliver to my country and Newegg is an American thing afaik)
And even further more, I don't know which are the "trusted" replacement battery manufacturers
Unfortunately replacing laptop keys isn't easy. First there's no standard, even on the same model and it's difficult. I've had supposedly identical keyboards but with slightly different mounting, and were incompatible with each other on a key to key basis. It's necessary in most situations to buy the whole keyboard (sometimes the entire palm rest too) and replace that.
I would order from eBay. It can be scary because each seller is separate and you have to check their ratings…but the system nowadays is very good. eBay has swung all of their policies to where they highly favor the buyer in disputes if there is an issue…to the point that buyers can easily abuse it. I was a seller and experienced this. If you file a dispute saying I didn’t receive my item or it wasn’t as described, they literally freeze the money in the sellers sellers account immediately until it’s resolved and the buyer has you by the balls.
You can search and see only items that ship to your country. I would imagine you find a lot that do ship to you. They make it easy because sellers can enroll in a program where you ship it to a certain address in sellers country and it gets forwarded to any country at buyers expense.
Just check the sellers ratings and read item descriptions, check return policy
Find some nerds who live near you, I guarantee they know the best place, we can't answer your question as it highly depends on which country you live. Not saying you should tell us either.
Thing is... Usually I'm that nerd, and while I don't mind sharing what county i live in (check my other replies), I was hoping to learn of some international ways to do it that aren't AliExpress...
I work in repair and we often simply use eBay. We do sometimes get items from AliExpress when it isn't available on eBay however. We usually use eBay because shipping is generally much faster, and easier to return defective items (plus batteries from there are sketchy at times).
Depending on the part there may be other suppliers, like in the US we have used bright focal for laptop screens and there are likely different suppliers for Europe.
