Can't step into plant near stair

I can't step into Sungrass in the stair between 15-16 (after DM-300 boss). I guess this is a bug 🐛 video

Try dropping an item, will it trigger the plant?
- ...or will you lose that item forever too.
  Choose wisely.
  
  Item is actually obtainable, unlike the plant. That is because there is a failsafe to always pick up items before switching floors, in case you die with an unblessed ankh on the floor transition tile.
  
  items aren't teleported by fadeleaves
- Yep, it trigger the plant. But too bad I died before getting healed 😂 (1 hp + starving)
