Which is an interesting window into their worldview: the worst thing in the world is not severe injustice and immorality from those who claim to be just and moral, the worst thing in the world is...looking stupid.

I feel like this may have been satire when originally posted, or someone trying to troll them a bit. Too on the nose, not as much dogwhistle as what I'm used to from that group.
Having said that, our conservatives have absolutely turned themselves into a laughingstock, there's no doubt of that. This was abundantly clear midway through 2020, and it's only accelerated since then.
