I got mine from that website childish gambino got his, forgot the website.

That is literally my name. I was never first with that name on any internet service thing so it was a novelty to name myself that.

I had the intention of dropping in on those 'is it octopodes or octopuses' debates with 'um, actually it's octopeople'. Only I got tired of the joke after the 2nd or 3rd time so there you go.

My favourite track from the Journey OST by Austin Wintory was titled 'Apotheosis' and I wanted to understand its meaning. I adopted this username as a nod of respect to the game and its soundtrack because of its profound impact on my life.

I randomly created it about 25yrs. ago when I was first hanging out on message boards, and I just stuck with it.

Because I like Doctor Who, and it's just wrong enough in German that it's never really taken by anyone.

Random noun generator

Randoms represent. I just use a password generator to make me a user and pwd. I'll ditch it in about a year anyway, no point spending any effort.

My username is a portmanteau of words siivu and viipale which are two different types of slices. I'm not sure if English differentiates these two types of slices but siipale is something between those two or both at the same time.

Anyway, in addition to being an interesting portmanteau my username sounds similar to sopuli so it's a perfect fit for Lemmy.

My original gamer tag on Xbox was gameknight named after the Minecraft book series then when I moved to pc the name stuck around for a little bit on steam and eventually I wanted a silly placeholder name so it was SeñorFlipFlop.

Well the most temporary fixes are often the most permanent solutions and with the exception of discord all my usernames now are some variation of flip flop with my gta rockstar name being Flippy-Flopp and planet side being FL1P1E5FL0P
